Meet AJ
I’m AJ Caviles, a muscle activation specialist, personal trainer, and health coach. My journey started as an athlete and student of anatomy, physiology, and nutrition, where I was deeply rooted in a traditional, Western view of health. But when I began experiencing chronic pain, migraines, and other health issues, I realized that conventional methods weren’t enough.
That struggle became a blessing in disguise—it pushed me to explore holistic approaches that helped me heal, take ownership of my health, and feel truly in control of my life again. Today, I’m passionate about guiding others through that same transformation.
I believe every person and every body is unique. My work is about listening, understanding, and creating an individualized path that helps you feel and function your best—so you can thrive in every part of your life.

MAT is for anyone experiencing tight muscles, aches, movement limitations, recurring injuries, or joint instability—from professional athletes to people recovering from surgery, or anyone who simply wants to move and feel better. MAT helps restore muscle function so your body can work the way it was designed to.

An MAT Specialist acts like a “mechanic for your muscles.” We assess your joint motion, test specific muscles for weakness, and apply targeted techniques to re-activate them. This improves muscle function, increases stability, and often reduces discomfort—without prescribing medicine or diagnosing conditions.

Not at all. While many athletes use MAT and our training programs to boost performance and recovery, most of our clients are everyday people who want to move with less pain, have more energy, or regain confidence in their health.
